We miss our film.
Seriously.
We miss our TMax 400, our Kodak Porta 160NC, and ESPECIALLY our Fuji Velvia 100.
So … we’ve built a Fuji Velvia 100 Lightroom preset.

[...] Hyatt Lane I haven’t felt the greatest today, so I’ve been in a rather blah mood. Speaking of moods, I thought I’d dig a moody shot up from the past taken at one of my favorite places to shoot, Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Just thinking of the Smokies makes me feel better. Not only was this shot made in the Smokies, but it was on Hyatt Lane in Cade’s Cove, probably my favorite place within the Smokies to shoot. I also really enjoy taking shots in the fog and the mood they create. Thus brings us to today’s photo. This was early one morning looking down Hyatt Lane in a very thick fog. I processed this image in Lightroom using a preset that was made by the folks over at X-Equals. The preset is desinged to re-create the Velvia Film look, and it does a pretty darn good job. If you are a Lightroom user and would like to check out the preset, you can download it from their site here: http://x-equals.com/blog/?p=119 [...]

Oh, wow! I love this, and I have only applied it to one (really bad) picture. Can’t wait to experiment. Thanks.

Incredible preset. Much better than any others I’ve tried so far, and we all know nothing beats Velvia. Thanks for the help and the great preset!
